We wanted to make a short video to explain what are the main principals in kinematics and damping. It is not a simple subject and I am shooting from a hip when I explain the stuff on the video. Let’s call this more like a suspension overview.
There are multiple elements in mountain biking suspension but these are the basics. For the rider, the leverage ratio curves or the frequencies do not mean a lot and you can’t really change the kinematics of the bike but it’s good to know how your bike is designed.
