Pole Evolinks are famous for their new school geometry. We make long, slack and balanced mountain bikes, which aren’t always the lightest to begin with. Evolink 110 is designed to be a XC or a Trail bike, this particular set up is bit cut Evolink 110 XC, in size medium. Of course you can always pinch bit more off from the weight.
Some of you may think “why just don’t make the frame from carbon”. We have decided to stick in aluminum frames in this case because we believe carbon is not as reliable material as aluminium is, when it comes to mountain biking like we do it. Also the environmental aspect of 100% recyclable aluminum is a big advantage compared to carbon and it’s cutting waste.
There could be carbon brakes, carbon wheels, lighter tyres also. But this experiment demonstrates that the radical geometry can be applied to XC bikes. This set up weights 11,75 kg (24,9lb) without pedals. I dare to claim we could easily cut one more kilogram.
