The Taival, meaning journey in Finnish, is a hardtail frame truly in keeping with our renowned long and slack design ethos. The high modulus 4130 Chromoly steel creates the perfect match of ‘new school’ hardcore hardtail, with go-anywhere 29er capabilities.

This bike can be built with high-end or entry-level parts to fit any riding style. Taival is the one go-to bike when you need a reliable, balanced frame that keeps its value which is completely adaptable to your riding style through time.

Sizing

On a bike with such progressive geometry, the question of best sizing is one that we get asked a lot. So, we decided to update our size naming convention. Instead of XS, S, M, L, and XL we’ve replaced it K0, K1, K2, K3, and K4 (the K stands for Koko, which means size in Finnish)

Taking into consideration height crossovers, we have created a size chart matrix that not only covers the rider’s height but incorporates your riding style too. The result is a simple way for you to best choose the bike size to fit their needs – you’re welcome.

For example, if you are 182cm tall and prefer a bike for all-out speed, we would suggest the size K3. If you spend more time at the bike park or prefer a more agile riding style, take the size K2.

Somehow, the Taival is greater than the sum of its parts; the compliant rear end combined with the balanced and stable riding position allows you to forget that you’re on a hardtail and ride lines as you would on your ‘big’ bike. ENDURO Mountainbike Magazine

It’s soo good, I’ve never had a hardcore hardtail before, but this has opened up a lot of opportunities for me, I have been using it to ride to trails even further away from home, sometimes stopping at a pump track or jump spot on route, and because it is made from steel tubing it’s very comfortable for all-day missions. I’m a big fan, and although I’m itching to get back racing, I’m also itching to get out on this and explore some more hidden gems at home. – Leigh Johnson
